Monte Sereno Disaster & Recovery Services

Monte Sereno first emerged as a community in the early 1900’s. The expansive natural wonders of the area and tranquil air drew artists and writers who wanted to practice their craft away from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. In fact, the Monte Sereno home in which author John Steinbeck wrote the American classic Grapes of Wrath still stands. The city was incorporated in 1957.
Today, Monte Sereno is a picturesque hillside community. Some of its attractions include the Four Acorns Farm and the nearby trails in Saratoga and Los Gatos. The tight-knit community shares a community recipe page and is launching a design program to keep the community aesthetic in new constructions. This gem of a village and its loyal residents have created a tiny slice of mid-California heaven in Monte Sereno.
